Section 3

Contracts paid with HUD funds may be covered by Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968 (24 CFR part 75), which gives low- and very low-income people, and businesses that hire them, a fair opportunity at the jobs and contracts that HUD funding creates. Each solicitation explains its own Section 3 requirements.
